Hello there, my name is Onyx and boy have I had a rough road in life until I finally found refuge in DFWGSR. I am approximately 6 years old, but my teeth make me look much older. Not to worry, I still have teeth, they are just so ground down from chewing on rocks that they make me look like an old lady even though I am just in my prime. I was brought in to rescue out of a bad neglectful situation. My old owner is now locked away in a cage and now me and my friend, Bridget are free to live our lives like dogs like us deserve, to be spoiled rotten companion animals. Ahh, to live in the lap of luxury, that is my dream. To have a family of my very own to love me and love them back unconditionally. I would be the best companion they ever had. I am loyal and loving and I dont cause any problems. I am laid back and easy to care for. I love to get treats and love to go on walks following my foster mom. My favorite thing to do on nice pretty days is to lounge on the porch and sun bathe, then come inside and curl up on my nice and cozy dog bed and sleep all night. I do great loose in the house. I am completely out of my puppy stages so I do not chew or mess things up. My foster mommy says Bridget and I are the perfect foster doggies. Says that we are not any problem and that she wishes they were all nice and laid back like us. Dont tell them though...hehe I have finally been spayed, fully vaccinated and I tested negative for heartworms. I am also microchipped so I will never become lost from home again.
